Linda Wirth, LCSW

ABOUT THE THERAPIST
I have been in practice for over 20 years. For the first two-thirds of my career, I was on the faculty in the Psychiatry Department at Vanderbilt University. I saw clients, supervised other therapists and taught psychiatrists-in-training. Since 2000, I have been in private practice while continuing to teach at Vanderbilt and do other professional training.

I believe people can make changes in their lives in partnership with a professional they trust. You can expect me to be a compassionate listener who is easy to talk with, but who is also willing to share her thoughts and advice. Most of my clients feel stuck and want to make changes in their lives. I can offer strategies that focus on changing unproductive thinking and self-defeating behaviors so that you can have the life you deserve.

LINDA WIRTH, LCSW
If you are the parent of a child or adolescent, you want a therapist who knows how to relate to your son or daughter and can provide you with the guidance you need to help them. I will provide an intentional plan of treatment with clear goals and will regularly and openly communicate with you about questions you have, progress being made and how you can be involved.

I have special interest, training and experience in treating children, adolescents and adults who suffer with anxiety, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

If you are an adult experiencing anxiety and/or depression resulting from relationship conflicts or dissatisfaction, or from a difficult transition such as death, divorce or job loss, you can expect me to respond with compassion and understanding, while offering ideas about how to cope.
